Death::Backward::FaultDescription struct

Description of the memory access that crashed the application.

Tells apart the failures that a bare signal number leaves indistinguishable — a null dereference (a very low address), a use-after-free (a plausible heap address) and a wild or corrupted pointer (anything else) — and, where the platform reports it, whether the access was a read, a write or an instruction fetch. Every other field is meaningless unless IsValid is set.

Public variables

bool IsValid

Address the faulting instruction tried to access.
const char* Access
How the address was accessed, as a phrase, or nullptr if the platform doesn't report it.
const char* Cause
Why the access failed, or nullptr if the platform doesn't report it.
